Duke Nukem — это бессмертная классика жанра, которую хочется «пощупать» в любом исполнении.
Новый жанр, рожденный Wolfenstein’ом, был прочно установлен на мускулистые ноги космического пехотинца и громко заявил о себе, ознаменовав новую эру в сфере видеоигр, эру 3D-shooter’ов, игр с «видом из глаз».
Героя игры представлять не требуется. С ним знакома или хотя бы наслышана о его существовании вся игровая братия. Большой поклонник женщин и больших пистолетов, мощных машин и обладатель здорового чувства юмора. Защитник человечества от инопланетян и главный «свинопас». После такого подробного описания сложно не узнать всеобщего любимца — Дюка Нюкема.
Сохранился весь смертоносный арсенал, начиная от маломощной «Беретты» и заканчивая всеразрушающей rocket-launcher. А когда закончатся патроны, можно попинать супостатов начищенным армейским ботинком.
1. Берегите здоровье и заряды. Дело в том, что в процессе игры ощущается острейшая нехватка аптечек и патронов, причем эти два симптома проявляются одновременно.
2. Учитывайте «приблизительность» прицела в этой игре. Вести огонь с большого расстояния, когда еще есть возможность увернуться от пущенного в ваш адрес файербола, трудно из-за неточности прицеливания.
4. Не удивляйтесь, если ваше здоровье превысило 100%. Это значит, что вы подобрали трофей, именуемый «суперздоровье».
5. Для начала установите уровень сложности «Элементарно». Почему? А вы посмотрите, как называются два других: «Ну ты, крут!» и «Безумие». До них еще дорасти надо.

Duke Nukem 3D
Cheat codes in Duke Nukem 3D do not involve the use of a console. Simply type any of the following codes at any point during regular gameplay:
Note that cheats are disabled on the hardest difficulty setting, «Damn I’m Good.» However, it is still possible to use the God Mode cheat in this skill level. This is done by enabling the cheat at a lower difficulty level and then switching to «Damn I’m Good,» either by starting a new game or with the «dnskill#» cheat.

Duke Nukem 3D (Sega Genesis)
To activate any of the cheats, the player must first pause the game by holding START + A + B.
While on the pause screen, enter one of the following sequences:

Using Flawless Widescreen, enable the Log console after launching the game (don’t put FlawlessWs.exe in the same directory as DukeForever.exe). Type the following commands in the log window:
SET commands
— Changes settings of a class. Property can be e.g. «health».
Example: «set pigcop_grunt health 1» makes all pigcop_grunt in current map health 1. These commands do notpersist through map loads.
give dnGame. A better way then changing the pickups. NOTICE! This command must be typed in console!

Editing NPCs and players
Replacing FlawlessWidescreen
Entering the following command will bind the console to the O key so that FlawlessWidescreen is no longer needed:
Enabling SOS console in-game
Once you have the Dev Log window open, type in the following command:
Press the Tilde key in-game and you get access to the SOS console.
Note: SOS console can’t be enabled this way in the latest DNF versions with DLCs installed (Parody Pack and Doctor Who Cloned Me). If you find new way, post it here.

You can find more names for summons inside *.dnf files in duke forever\maps directory, just open them with text editor and look for anything that looks like class name. Share your findings here.

Editing save game files is possible for the Xbox 360 version of the game; see here. This should also be possible with the PC version, but tools do not yet exist to do this.
