Name Entry Cheats

You may only use these cheats with a memory card that has no previous Spider-Man 2 gamesaves on it. If you enter the code more than once in a row you will have 200000 more hero points than if you entered it once. So twice gives you 4000000, 3 times gives you 6000000, etc.

Glitches

Taken for a Ride

Perform the web tie-up move (Square, square, triangle, X) and allow yourself to be hit from behind after you have attatched the webline to the thug’s leg. If done correctly, the move is interrupted and the thug remains attatched to your arm, no matter what you do. You can now take him/her for a tour of NY, spidey style.

(Effects are removed if a cutscene or challenge is activated)

Easter Eggs

Army of Darkness/Evil Dead tribute

When fighting Mysterio and his flyign henchman in the theatre, save all 6 reporters before destroying all of his minions.

If you are sucessful, while you are fighting his villains, Mysterio will start to recite lines from Army of Darkness and Evil Dead, films also done by Spider-Man 2 director Sam Raimi.

Also, in Mysterio’s funhouse, if you use the body of a twisted-Spiderman to break a mirror, the twisted hero will spout lines from Army, also. (Fromt eh scene where Ash fights Evil Ash, pre-mutation.)

Secrets

Shocker 1 boss fight

When fighting shocker for the first time, dont run into the room immediately. Instead climb on the wall of the second entryway (after the door that lets you in) and climb to the ceiling of the next room. Drop onto the catwalk and then run until you see the shocker. Jump down and start beating on him and he wont fight back. Don’t kill him completely because the game will not let you go on. When you have whittled his health, walk back to the entryway to trigger the cutscene you missed.

Quick Change Spidey costume

Select the «Special» option from the main menu, then choose the «Cheats» selection. Enter «DULUX» as a code to give Spider-Man a big head.

Unlock the Captain Universe costume. Go to the costumes and select it. Then, collect the Armored Spider-Man icon during the game to appear as Armored Spider-Man during the remainder of the game, including the intermission sequences.

Enter an obscene word as a code. Spider-Man will appear in one of his costumes, punch the code, and another word will appear.

Characters speak out

Select a character in the gallery in special mode and press Square or Circle after Stan Lee finishes talking. Some characters will say something or perform an action.

If you are low on health and on the subway or fighting a large group of symbiotes, constantly create web-domes until they are all gone, or the sub stops.

Defeating Carnage on the hard difficulty setting

Immediately web-jerk him into the sonic field, and keep webbing him until he dies. Do this with the Symbiote Spider-Man or Captain Universe costumes, as they have unlimited webbing.

Alternate Costumes

Mary Jane’s Apartment

Located in Soho. Look for a purple dot on the map.

Holy Cow!

Go into the dailybugle and as you walk in turn left and look on the wall, there will be a newspaper hanging up on the wall that says Holy Cow!

Easy Hero Points

If you just want to go through and play they entire game instead of doing the cheat where you already have 100% done, do this for easier hero points. Just go somewhere by the shore and talk to someone for a mission. Then you can hope to be ambushed and just swing everyone in the water. If they always avoid your webs hit R2 and triangle to trap them then swing them.

Play As Kermit The Frog

First get 100%. Then go to liberty island and jump into the water on the south side of the island 25 times in a row. Then climb onto the Statue of Liberty’s torch and there will be a change icon. Hit square when on the icon and you will transform into Kermit the Frog.

Play As Doc Ock

To play as Doc Ock, complete 100% of the game. Once this is done, go to the bridge leading to Roseavelt Island. When you reach the island, at the back of the factory/warehouse there is an icon to change between Doc Ock and Spiderman.

Fight Calypso (Hidden Character Boss)

Kraven the Hunter’s love interest, Calypso, is the fourth boss in the Boss Challenges mini-game.

Getting To The Statue Of Liberty

You will have to start on top of a tall building. Try to be as close to Liberty Island as possible. Look towards the island and you will eventually see two helicopters that cross paths with each other. Watch for the one that flies towards you. You will need to jump up when it is overhead and snag it with your webbing. This copter will take you out over the water. You will eventually cross paths with another copter when you are about halfway. Jump and hook onto that copter so it can take you to the first island. From this island you will need to take one more copter that will deliver you to the Statue of Liberty. It may take a few tries to get it right.

Shockers Hideout

Shockers hide out is located at a big warehouse by the shore at the lower east side. There will be a big metal garage door and it will open when you walk up to it.

Bug Crawling On My Face Reference

Swing around the city until you find a billboard of mary jane, then press circle and start crawling on her face. Its a reference to a spider crawling on you.

SkyScraper Death

Go to this random skyscraper (make sure its high) and jump off. You will probably live, if you do I suggest you go to a HIGHER skyscraper then jump off you will die cause its a skyscraper but if you go to a high skyscraper you might find a medal or something.

Easy Way To Get Skyscraper Tokens.

Go on top of a high building when it’s dark and you’ll see the coins glow.

Stretchy Web

To stretch your webs hang from a helicopter then push r2 but don’t release it. You will hang between the building and the helicopter will keep going.

Making People Go On Buidings

First you have to help a person with a boat sinking and then when you got the last person on the boat don’t drop him off just take him to any building you want but don’t take him on a very tall building.

Married Couple

By central park look for a building that has a red covering over it, it’s a jewerly store. Go by the counter then look to the left then you’ll see a married couple.

How To Beat Ryno

When your fighting Ryno your web won’t work on him not even your punshes (just yet). Ryno only has two attacks one is his charge attack. Just jump when you see it coming. When he trys to use his spin attack and your spider sense is tingleling keep taping the circle button until Ryno gets dizzy. While he is dizzy start punshing him. Ryno will soon gain conscios keep repeating what you did to damage him. He will be beaten in NO TIME.

Swing Faster

If you are in a situation when you need to chase someone, or just swingin’ around waiting for something to pop up, you can swing faster if you would like to. Just press X, X while your swinging then, you will swing faster!

Stupid Jumping Clowns

ShutterBug

You can find ShutterBugs in your award screen in the pause menu. There is a total of forty rewards: Complete all Daily Bugle missions(6).

Play As Spider-Man Without Mask

As many will find out, in the final battle Peter fights without his mask. To play as Spider-man without his mask first obtain collect all hint markers, and complete the MJ missions. After this has been done go straight to Peter Parker’s apartment. You will then need to stand inside the apartment and wait until he crosses his arms. After more waiting Parker will stretch. At this point a cutscene would activate and Parker will remove his mask. After he removes his mask you are free to leave the room and continue on with the game. To put back on your mask, simply have Spider-Man die (drown, get beat up.)

Fight Lizard

Beat Battle Arena (once you complete story mode). Look for the open manhole cover near the pizza parlor. This will be accessible only at night between the game hours of midnight and 3:00 AM.

Vulture Reference

If you go to one of the gargoyles located on the Chrysler Buidling, you will find some of Vulture’s feathers. This is a reference to the Vulture boss battle from Spider-Man the movie game in which Spider-Man fought the Vulture on the Chrysler Building.

Flag Pole Spinning

When near a flag pole, jump and press the Circle button to spin around it. Continue to hold down the Circle button for 5 revolutions and Spider-Man will sit on the pole.

Lock On Mode

You can target and lock on to enemies by pressing Up on the D-Pad.

Beat Mysterio’s Orbs

Swing to one of the platforms that takes you upward. Once you are high enough, jump off to land near an orb and continue pressing the attack button. Continue this method as fast as possible. Once all 8 orbs are destroyed you MUST make it to the brain and attack it within the allotted time or the orbs will respawn. Tip: Use Spider Sense mode when attacking the brain. If you are having trouble with this, join the club.

Peter Parker’s Apartment

Located in West Village as a white square on the map. Look for a balcony.

All Your Base Are Belong To Us Reference

During the fight with Mysterio he says «You have no chance to survive. Make Your Time!»

Switch Locations

During the final battle with Doc Ock, you must locate all of the 8 switches.

Chapter 2

Beat the game once completing the Story mode, and Bruce Campbell will announce «And now for part 2». This opens up new civilian missions and new random challenges.

Vulture Reference

If you go to one of the gargoyles located on the Chrysler Buidling, you will find some of Vulture’s feathers. This is a reference to the Vulture boss battle from Spider-Man the movie game in which Spider-Man fought the Vulture on the Chrysler Building.

Press Square, Square, Triangle, X when fighting.

Start With Extras

Enter HCRAYERT as a name when you start a new game. The game will not identify it as anything and clear the letters. Enter another name and start. You will start on a building and be told to check the pause menu for what you have unlocked. Some enemies may also appear different in missions. Unlocks appear to be: Web Zip, Webswing speed 6/8, 201000 Hero points, 44.38% complete, big game hunter, alien buster, shock asorber, tentacle wrangler. Note: This may ONLY work if there are no previous saves (load previous save onto a memory card and start new game).

Programmer Save

Start a new game and enter «HCRAYERT» as a name («Treyarch» spelled backwards), then go back and enter any name of your choice. The game will start in progress, with over 40% completion, 201,000 Hero points, with Swing Speed and Web Zip upgrades, and «Big Game Hunter», «Alien Buster», «Shock Absorber», and «Tentacle Wrangler» ranks. Additionally, this code has another effect when used with an existing game. Load your saved game, select «New Game», then enter «HCRAYERT» as a name. The game will not allow you to enter it, but when you exit out of that screen, you will get 201,000 Hero points, all skills cleared, be at the «First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life», but will still have your token collection and other progress points intact.

Skip Training

Did You Know.

Do you know that upgrade you buy where you hang a thug on a lamp post? Well no longer do you have to push, square square traingle X, just push, Triangle X and it will do it. So you don’t have to push the extra buttons.

Glitches

Car Glitches

You can out run cars on foot, but if you get on top of any moving cars, and sprint on the hood of the car, you’ll just hear alot of footsteps. You wont run off the front, unless of course you fall of the side, you have to keep your balance or this glitch wont work.
