Hypixel: Pocket Edition Launch
For many months, the Hypixel team have been hard at work behind the scenes on a new project we chose to keep under wraps. This project was codenamed Bladestorm, and it could not have happened without the support of our amazing staff team and wider community.
Today we are excited to officially announce Hypixel: Pocket Edition, a brand new way to play Hypixel. Hypixel: Pocket Edition is free to play, and you can connect to the server IP pe.hypixel.net using Minecraft: Pocket Edition, or Minecraft for Windows 10.
Without any promotion from us, our hidden Bladestorm server attracted over 400,000 registered players (9000 concurrent at one point), and we are excited to bring the server to the wider Hypixel community for Alpha testing. Under its new Hypixel: Pocket Edition name, we will be regularly updating the server to improve the experience for all players over the coming months.
You can experience all the fun of Hypixel on your tablet or smartphone right now! All you need to do is join pe.hypixel.net now from your compatible device.
Please note that Hypixel: Pocket Edition is in Alpha testing, and you may experience instability or bugs as we continue to develop and improve the server. Check out the FAQ for “What is an Alpha?”

You sneaky sneaks! Why was this kept secret from us?
It was very important for us to make sure that we had something which lived up to the high standard the community expect from us here at Hypixel.
Next thing you know we had 400,000 registered users. We feel really proud that Bladestorm was able to grow to this size without people even knowing it was related to Hypixel.
We feel now however is the time to let people know!
What is an Alpha?
When developing a project, Alpha is the first stage of testing. It basically means “Hey, don’t expect this to be 100% yet”
You can expect bugs, unannounced server reboots by Admins, games to be turned on and off on occasion, or even expect some games to be deemed “not good enough” as well as Rebalances without announcements.
Not to mention the fact that there is also Minecraft Windows 10 Edition now (compatible with PE), offering players even more ways to play Hypixel with friends!
Who is working on the Hypixel PE team?
Gurun, Trudan and Minikloon are the core guys working on PE, supported by NoxyD and the rest of the team. Gurun and Trudan have been here secretly for the past few months, but you can expect to start to see them around publically from now. Minikloon is already well known to many players on the server.

How big is the new PE Alpha Network?
The new PE network currently supports 24,000 slots, and we’ve peaked at just over 9,000 players connected so far.
We do allow users to register and “auth” their names, but until full authentication is here we can’t properly have Friends & Party Systems, Progression, Stats, and several other core features. So don’t expect the full Hypixel experience on Pocket Edition just yet.
But hey, at least you can play PE Network from the toilet right?
Can I connect with Windows 10 Edition?
Yes, you can connect using Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.
What about helpers and mods on the new PE Network?
The staff will actually be drawn from the PC network staff. Helpers will get additional responsibilities & powers on the PE Network and we have new webtools that will help with moderation. Moderators are still the same Asskicking justice bringers as before.
How will the store work on PE?
As we get closer to the release of Pocket Edition 0.13 and their new Auth system. We will be able to launch our Hypixel Mobile App that PxlPanda has been working on for the last few months.
The app opens up a whole bunch of exciting possibilities for PC users too! It’s not just for pocket edition players, so stay tuned for more information on the Hypixel App in a bigger more focused announcement.
If you guys aren’t selling anything yet, How is the server possible to keep up?
Fortunately, the new server technology that we’ve been working on (think of having to remake Bukkit AND make your own minecraft server) it means that the PE servers are more efficient than PC servers.
Basically we can have more users per server. Therefore cheaper to run. We are happy to invest our time into developing the server, and launch the store to support development at a later date.
How will ranks work on PE? Will our ranks transfer?
No, there is no method to verify that you own the account on the PE network currently (see above). Ranks will be separate from PC, more details will be unveiled when ranks are ready for purchase.
Is the EULA applicable to Pocket Edition as well?
Yes, it applies there. We can only sell ranks that will add cosmetic features and other non gameplay-affecting perks.
Can I buy Kits, Items or other gameplay affecting power ups?
It is forbidden by Mojang to sell things like Kits, Items, and special powers that help you win games. We can assure you no such things will be sold here at Hypixel on any of our platforms.
Do our stats transfer between PC and PE games?
Unfortunately not as PE is on its own specific network.
Does Hypixel PE use Pocketmine?
Hypixel PE instead uses a new technology which is developed by Gurun called MiNET combined with what we call HyPE. An easy way to think of it is that MiNET replaces the Minecraft server and HyPE is Bukkit!
Will the PE Network have it’s own website?
It may in the future, but we don’t currently plan for it. Instead we will create a new page for them and some new forums, we will adapt to the needs of the PE community as it grows.

Earlier this month, Hypixel hosted an internal Game Jam where the team gets together in groups and creates new content for the Hypixel network to enjoy. Pixel Party ended up being finished at the end of the Game Jam-week and is now ready for public testing as a brand new Prototype game!
You can visit the Prototype lobby by using the /lobby ptl command in-game.

With the option to migrate your Mojang account to a Microsoft account becoming more and more readily available to our players, we wanted to make sure that everyone is taking advantage of the increased security that comes with the migration. Although the migration isn’t mandatory yet, it’s still incredibly beneficial to go through the process to make your Minecraft account more secure. Setting up two-factor authentication that is available with Microsoft accounts is even better.
You may be asking yourself, why are we so concerned with Microsoft account migration? We’ve had surveys about it, we’ve posted an FAQ, and now, we’re encouraging our players to take advantage of the migration if they have the option to do so. Well, we have a few reasons.
Today, we are releasing an update for Bed Wars! This update comes with Bug Fixes, QOL improvements, a new Dream mode, and a whole new concept to Bed Wars: Challenges.

In Bed Wars, you and up to 4 teammates spawn on islands. You must gather 4 resources: Iron, Gold, Diamonds and Emeralds to buy items and upgrades at the Shopkeepers on your island.

In Classic Mode on Murder Mystery, players take on the role of Murderer, Detective or Innocent. The Murderer must be sneaky and try to kill as many people as he can without being caught or killed. The detective and innocents must work together to protect each other and try to figure out who the murderer is.

The Arcade Games lobby offers you a wide range of fun and casual minigames which are played in a fast-paced style. Surviving hordes of zombies, fighting against the enemy team using beam swords or building the best plot are just a few of all the activities that you can do in our unique Arcade Games.
UHC Champions
Hardcore Survival
UHC Champions has Solo and Team modes, where Team mode consists of 3 players per team. Here, natural regeneration is off and you can only heal by golden apples, potions, and the heads of slain players.
This gamemode involves custom crafting recipes and perks to help you survive in this hardcore world.
Arena Brawl

Be prepared to fight! In this amazing game you get to fight your opponents with your sword which has a special skill attached to help you take down your enemy. You also need to survive using special skills to boost your heal ability and some perks to out wit your enemies attempts to survive!
Play in 1v1 matches, refine your skills in 2v2 and rank up to find harder opponents, or go for an all out brawl in 4v4.
Build Battle
Casual Games
In Build Battle, players face off against each other to see who can create the best build based off a theme. Build as quickly as you can before the voting starts to get as many points from other players as possible. Build Battle also includes other modes like Guess the Build, where you have to be quick and creative to try to guess what other players are building.
Build Battle is perfect for any players who love building or creating things in-game.
Cops and Crims

Cops and Crims is based off the popular eSports shooter Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Using a custom resource pack, both teams arm themselves with guns, pistols, and even grenades.
Using a mixture of tactics and skill you must either defend the bomb sites or infiltrate the sites and plant the bomb. At the beginning of each round you can buy yourself weapons from the store.

Competitive
In Duels, players face off against each other in a variety of game modes and team sizes. With modes including SkyWars, UHC, OP Duels, and more, in each one you select your setup and battle one or more opponents for dominance.

Mega Walls takes the game to an entirely new level. Play in Normal mode with 4 teams of 25 players, or Faceoff mode with 2 teams of 40 players. Spend the first 6 minutes gathering resources, and building defenses for your team. Once the wall drops, the battle begins. Like Walls, diamonds can be found in the very center. Coordinate your team, and defend the Wither that resides in your castle, or rush to attack enemy teams’ withers. Once the team’s wither is dead, players no longer respawn when they die. Destroy the withers, and defeat your enemies! Be the last team standing, and win the game!

This is a free for all survival game with many maps varying between 16 and 32 players per round. Play in Solo or Team mode and use your kit to take out your enemies in your fight for victory, or play Solo No Kits for an alternative challenge.
But beware! After 5 Minutes the Blitz Star will be released. The one who finds it can take advantage of its power to use one of the many Blitz Attacks! Only one player can survive.

Become one of many unique heroes and unleash devastating attacks in a Team or Solo battle for ultimate domination! Level up your favorite heroes to customize them and become stronger. Can you SMASH your rivals out of the arena before they smash you? Be the last player or team standing in this fast-paced fight among heroes.

The TNT Games are a casual gamemode involving fun and unique games to play involving TNT.
Play with your friends in Wizards to capture points or shoot them down in Bow spleef. We also have TNT Run which tests your endurance and parkour skills. And lastly, TNT Tag which brings the classic game of Hot Potato into Minecraft.

Turbo Kart Racers is a fully fledged racing game inside Minecraft which puts you in the driver seat in a furious race against 11 other players. During the game you can pick up boxes that give you certain advantages in the race.
The game has 15 different kart skins to choose from; you can customize and upgrade your kart with different particle trails, sounds, engines and more!
VampireZ
Survival
You can’t be afraid of the dark in this Hypixel game. You will become either a vampire or a survivor in a haunting map. No, vampires don’t glow in the sunlight here, but as a Vampire, you chase the survivors and turn them into «one of us», and for survivors? You just have to survive. With blindness. In a creepy map. Surrounded by blood thirsty vampires. No big deal. Sorry, no garlic.
The Walls
Team Survival
Four teams fight each other for victory after 15 minutes of preparation. During preparation, work as a team to collect resources, so you can build large defences & craft armour and weapons. From eleven maps to choose from, you experience a different game every time.
With killstreaks and unlockable perks, The Walls is an excellent game for players who enjoy regular Minecraft PvP.
Warlords

Warlords takes Minecraft minigames to the next level, featuring our very own custom 3D textured weapons, custom sounds, and many other exciting features within our custom resourcepack. This minigame offers three different gamemodes; Capture the Flag, Domination, and Team Deathmatch.
After your epic battles have ended you can test your luck in the lobby to repair your weapons in an attempt to gain one of custom 3D textured legendary weapons!
Unique Features
You will find weaponsmiths, NPC quest masters offering you unique daily and weekly quests, mystery boxes, information about the game, leaderboards and more.
They have neat places to explore along with cool animations and sounds effects visible by the whole lobby when you find new epic items. Because you know, we wouldn’t want others to miss on your awesomeness!
To access each games lobby simply log on our minecraft server, right-click to open your inventory and then click on a game. You’ll automatically be teleported there.
Party
The party system allows you to crush your enemies with glorious teamwork!
You can play most of the games on the Hypixel minecraft server in parties. In order to be on the same side as your friends in our games make sure to invite them to a party before joining the games.
To create a party simply type /party + the name of a friend you’d like to invite (ex. /party hypixel). Once created you will become the party leader and your team will be teleported with you to the games you join.
For a full list of party commands, just type /party.
Friends
Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer!
The friend feature lets you you to add someone to your friend list and then stay updated on what they are doing while logged on the server.

Guilds
Guilds are a sort of never-ending parties!
Note that only players with the VIP+ rank can create guilds but anyone can join them. Once you join a guild you can easily chat with other members, buy upgrades and play together.
It’s pretty much the servers take on Clans and the ability to create your own community.
Coins & Credits
You can use the coins to do all kinds of cool things, like visiting the various NPCs to buy or craft cool new items or upgrade various parts of your class. You can even unlock new class specializations!
Coins are awarded based on your performance during games on the Hypixel server.
